Romantic gestures are usually not a guy’s strong suit.  Regardless; guys there are some things we all should do every so often. Romantic gestures are some of best ways to show how you really feel toward your date.   I am not talking about something big like a 4-part date night with all the trimmings, or an exotic two week vacation.  There needs to be more than just planning and money in it.  You need to apply your emotions and put effort in it.  The smallest hand written note can bring more love and joy to someone than a purchased gift.  As mentioned earlier; being romantic is not our strong suit, so here are three thoughts to keep in mind when thinking or planning your romantic gesture.

Spice Up Your Date With A Handmade Gift

There is rarely an item that holds more emotional attachment than one crafted by hand from one person to another.  These can be meals, desserts, notes with that extra effort, a collage of photos from a trip or when you first started dating each other.  Making something by hand shows the amount of care and effort put into something made specifically for her.  Now, you might be saying “I am not very crafty” or “I’m a terrible cook.”  Don’t worry; it’s the thought that counts.  Even if what you made was ugly or taste terrible, she will still love that you tried.  In other words, do not be offended that your handmade gesture is not at first received the way you thought.  Make a joke of the terribleness and keep the mood light.  

Surprise Your Love Match

One thing all people love is pleasant surprises.  You do not need any research to know that.  What a surprise adds is a break from the normal routine.  Most of us need a break from the daily grind every now and then.   If it is timed when she is having a rough day at work or another rough part of life, then it will be a more than romantic gesture.  It will make her day or even week.  Such gestures will show feelings without having to say a word.

This one can be hard to explain what I mean by it.  You do not want to be doing romantic gestures in order to get something in return or to simply get on her better side.  They should be created with love and sincere thought.   Make it something you made not an imitation of something from a YouTube video.  Remember it is coming from you so add some of your unique memories with her or a touch of your personality.
